PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The EcoVim dehydrator models are capable of reducing waste volume and weight by 83-93%, depending on the inputs. To optimize the reduction, the EcoVim models have a unique and patented method of evaluating moisture levels while food wastes are being processed. A processor measures heat consumed by evaporation and adjusts the temperature to maintain the prescribed cycle conditions for dehydration. By maintaining the tank temperatures at or above 85˚ C (185˚ F), the dehydrator eradicates all bacteria, pathogens, and sterilizes any seeds in the food waste. Unlike other dehydrators, EcoVim has specifically designed the unit not to include moisture sensors in the airflow line because they increase the susceptibility of particle build-up, which leads to improper measures of moisture levels. When the EcoVim system load meets the threshold .01%  moisture level, the unit will end the cycle early, saving the end user time and decreasing energy consumption. The end product can be used as a soil amendment suitable for use in landscaping.
